The Max and Friends Decodable Buddy Reading Series is a collection of 30 fully decodable, buddy reading books.  There is a systematic, gradual focus on short vowels, digraphs, and blends.  Aimed at children in grades late Kindergarten to Grade 2 and older foundational readers, each book supports previously taught phonics skills and minimal high frequency words.  Books are presented in an explicit, kid-friendly, buddy reading format.
